Supporting Employment Pathways
We believe that excellent technical training must go hand-in-hand with labor market integration. By combining soft skills development with strong industry linkages, we ensure a smooth and confident transition for our graduates from the workshop to the world of work.
Soft Skills Development
Technical know-how is just the baseline. We train our youth in essential soft skills—improving communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. These are the key competencies Kenyan employers are actively seeking in modern workplaces.
Real-World Familiarization
Through the dual vocational training system, our students don’t wait until graduation to see a real workshop. They gain hands-on experience in actual work environments, drastically reducing the induction time needed when they are officially hired.
Building Confidence
Transitioning from a student to a professional can be daunting. Our career support activities are designed to build self-esteem and professional confidence, empowering graduates to negotiate fairly, present themselves well, and excel in their trades.
Bridging the Gap Between Education and Industry
A training program is only as strong as its connection to the private sector. In Phase 1 alone, Don Bosco and BIWE successfully established robust industry linkages that directly benefit our students.
“Don Bosco graduates adapt faster. Thanks to their dual training approach, the familiarization and induction process takes us only 2 days, compared to the 1 to 3 weeks needed for graduates from other institutions.”
